Why Wood Pressed Oil Is Better for You
June 2026 · 3 min read
Modern refined oils go through intense heat, chemical solvents, and bleaching — stripping away
everything your body actually needs. Wood pressed oil is different. Seeds are cold-pressed slowly
under a wooden ghani at low temperature, so the natural antioxidants, Vitamin E, and healthy
unsaturated fats survive intact.
Refined oils lose much of their natural Vitamin E to the heat and solvents of processing.
Our cold-pressed version keeps far more of it, along with the antioxidants and healthy fats.
The rich, nutty aroma you notice when you open a PL Organics bottle? That is real nutrition.

Our Tradition
The Wooden Ghani: Ancient Wisdom in Every Drop
June 2026 · 3 min read
For thousands of years, Indian households pressed their oil using a wooden ghani — a large
mortar-and-pestle driven by a bullock walking in circles. The slow rotation (never exceeding
body temperature) keeps the oil alive. No chemicals. No external heat. Just wood, stone, and
patience. That tradition is exactly what PL Organics preserves.
Each batch of sesame, groundnut, coconut, and mustard seeds is pressed in small quantities
so we never rush the process. When our grandmothers said "chekku oil is medicine,"
they were not being poetic — science now confirms every word.

Know Your Seed
Local Variety Groundnuts from Nalgonda: Why the Seed Matters
June 2026 · 5 min read
Most people think about how an oil is made. Very few think about where the seed came from.
The Kadiri-6 groundnut, native to the red soils of Nalgonda and Kurnool, yields less per acre
than commercial hybrids — but far richer, more fragrant oil.
We source from 20+ smallholder farmers we know by name, grade the seeds by hand, and press
within weeks of harvest. That is why our groundnut oil tastes different from anything on a
supermarket shelf.
